I wanted to use some fresh tumeric I got at the markets.
So I teamed it up with leftover vegetables that had to be used up.
When they are cooked I will use the chicken pieces and the tumeric stock.
Japanese Kalbi Marinade with Grass Fed Beef Steaks cooked in slow cooker for 4hours on low.
Let meat rest for 30minutes before slicing.
Add Your Favourite Vegetables or Spiral Noodles
Pork Ribs with leftover marinade that was in freezer. Cooked in slow cooker for 4hours on low.
Served with steamed frozen mixed vegetable and potato mash with the marinade.
Pad Thai Paste from Asian store combined with Thick Pad Thai Noodles soaked in water served with Asian shallots, Broccolini and chicken Breast strips.
I also made my own bone broth from a whole organic chicken in slow cooker with carrot, onion, celery, water, black peppercorn, bouquet garni sachet. Slow cooked for 4 hrs on low. I use the chicken meat in other dishes. Strain the vegetables from the broth and then allow to cool and put broth in glass jars with lids and put in fridge or you can put into ice cube trays to freeze then use a cube at a time.
I made a marinade for the medallions to cook in : coconut oil with thyme and garlic and cooked in slow cooker on high for 1 hour.
Served with Steamed Cabbage and Mashed potato
Lamb Roast Small 2 pack was on special this week so I cooked it in the slow cooker on high for 1 1/2 hours. So tender. Rest for 30 min before slicing. Will keep in container in fridge/freezer for other meals if you don’t use it all at once. Continue reading
